Missing Police vehicle recovered from Hennops River
Police have confirmed that a vehicle recovered from the Hennops River in Centurion, Tshwane on Thursday is the same car that three of their members were travelling in when they disappeared last Wednesday.
The wrecked vehicle, VW Polo, was identified as the one driven by Constables Linda Cebekhulu, 24, Boipelo Senoge, 24, and Keamogetswe Buys, 30.

The officers were travelling from Bloemfontein to Limpopo when they went missing. Earlier this week, the bodies of the three officers were retrieved from the river and subsequently identified by their families.
Now that the VW Polo has been successfully recovered from the Hennops River, forensic experts will begin examining the vehicle and its contents.

“Yes, I can confirm that this is the VW Polo that the members were travelling in on that day,” said National Police Spokesperson Athlenda Mathe.
“We have confirmed, sub-aqua divers, together with Tshwane divers, checked the chassis and VIN numbers. This is indeed the vehicle we have been looking for.”
