Gas spillage affects traffic on N11 Sekhukhune
The Sekhukhune District Municipality in Limpopo have urged road users to avoid the N11 via Loskop to Groblersdal following a gas spillage.
This is after a gas container truck containing over 36,000 litres of gas overturned on the N11 route towards Loskop and Middelburg.

Road users coming from Middelburg are advised to use alternative routes via Stofberg to Middelburg or through Verena due to the N11 gas spillage. The gas is currently being gradually released at the site.
As a safety precaution, traffic flow from both directions has been suspended since yesterday [Tuesday].

“The Municipality is actively engaging with relevant authorities to ensure safe containment and clearance of the spill,” said Municipality spokesperson Lemson Moropjane
“A follow-up communication will be issued once the situation is under control. We urge the public to remain patient and adhere to safety directives.”
