Dates for ANC Peter Mokaba leadership battle confirmed
The ANC in the Peter Mokaba Region Special Regional Task Team [RTT] has confirmed the dates for the highly anticipated 10th Regional Conference.
ANCWL Limpopo Chairperson Mamedupi Teffo will go toe-to-toe with Regional Convenor Makoro John Mpe for Regional Chairperson.

Teffo, who is also the Capricorn Municipality Executive Mayor, is gunning for a first term as chairperson. Mpe, who is the Polokwane Executive Mayor, is seeking a third term.
Teffo’s slate includes current MEC for Public Works Tony Rachoene as the deputy chairperson. Sammy Selamolela is contesting as secretary, Gedeon Chepape [deputy Secretary] and Makhasane Mabote [Treasurer].

On the other hand, Mpe’s camp, Edward Masilo Paya is contesting for the deputy chairperson position. Leseba Matsemela [Secretary], Kholofelo Lehong [Deputy Secretary] and Merriam Molala [Treasurer]. The ANC Peter Mokaba conference will take place from 9-11 May 2025 at the Ranch, outside Polokwane
“As an integral part of preparing for a conference, the ANC has concluded Branch General Meetings (BGMs/BBGMs) to nominate delegates and leadership,” said Regional Spokesperson Adolph Rapetswa.
“We appreciate all members who participated in BGMs and congratulate all newly elected Branch Executive Committees. The RTT has since surpassed the 70% threshold to hold a conference.
“The RTT revised the roadmap and rescheduled the Regional Conference to take place from the 9th to the 11th May 2025, this is to allow further internal organisational processes to be concluded.”
