Man jumps over Tzaneen Dam

An unidentified man jumped over the rails of one of the twin bridges of Tzaneen Dam, Mopani in Limpopo on Sunday.

According to an eyewitness, the man, who was a wearing a Kaizer Chiefs jersey, climbed on the bridge’s rail and jumped into the Dam.

Police and emergency personnel are still stationed at the Dam. Rescue operations are ongoing to retrieve the body.

Due to a police’s body recovery operation at the twin bridge, no boat is allowed to drive in that direction from the jetty. The whole area is now a crime scene. Police are yet to issuer official statement.
