Enoch Ndou sentenced to life imprisonment
The Thohoyandou High Court in Limpopo has sentenced convicted multiple murderer Enoch Ndou to life imprisonment plus 90 years. The sentences will run concurrently.
Ndou was found guilty of shooting and killing seven family members on Christmas Day at Jimmy Jones village near Malamulele in 2021. The shooting was reportedly motivated by a dispute over the inheritance of his late father’s homestead.

Delivering the sentence, Ndou had several outbursts during the sentencing, “Underline the word orphan … who is not an orphan? Is a shame. Premeditated in execution style … It’s a shame. Judiciary is a shame.”

Judge Thogomelani Tshidada said the accused showed no remorse. He never once tried to reach out to the family and apologise for his actions.
“The accused also failed to discharge honours to prove he suffered psychological incapacity on the day or the time he committed the offences he is charged with,” said Judge Tshidada.
“I am therefore persuaded and convinced that the state presented uncontested evidence that proves the accused guilty on all the seven counts of murder he is charged with without reasonable doubt. I am compelled to pronounce a guilty verdict against the accused.”
