Passengers injured in GNT Bus accident
Several passengers sustained minor injuries when a Great North Transport (GNT) bus lost control and overturned near Moratiwa Crossing Mall in Monsterlus, Limpopo, on Monday.
Emergency response teams were dispatched to the scene. This is to ensure that the injured passengers were transported to nearby healthcare facilities in the Sekhukhune District. The facilities include St. Rita’s Hospital in Glen Cowie, Jane Furse Hospital, and also Matlala Hospital in Tsimanyana.

Executive Mayor of Sekhukhune District Municipality, Minah Bahula, expressed deep shock and concern on the accident.
“The municipality commends the swift response of all emergency personnel who are providing much-needed care to the victims,” said Bahula.

The Executive Mayor is expected to visit St Rita’s and Jane Furse hospitals to personally check on the injured and extend well wishes for their speedy recovery.
“The well-being and safety of our residents remain a top priority, and we stand in solidarity with all those affected by this unfortunate incident.
Our thoughts and prayers are with the injured passengers and their families during this difficult time,” she said.
The cause of the accident is not yet unknown. Investigations are still under way.
