Trio nabbed for TLB theft in Limpopo
Limpopo police have arrested three suspects in connection with a business robbery and possession of a suspected stolen TLB valued at R850,000. The arrest took place along the Mathabatha to Lekgwareng Road in the Capricorn District on Sunday.
An off-duty police officer received a tip-off regarding a towing truck transporting the stolen TLB, which had reportedly been taken from a farm in Malipsdrift.

Upon being stopped, the driver and passenger failed to provide a satisfactory explanation regarding the TLB, merely stating that they had been hired to transport it.
Preliminary investigations confirmed the TLB had indeed been stolen. The duo, aged 29 and 32, were arrested on the spot. A third suspect was later apprehended with assistance from the Malipsdrift community.

The suspects, identified as Puleng Hendrick Peta (29) and Ronald Moratladi (31), have been charged with business robbery and possession of suspected stolen property, while Josias Chauke Modiba (26) faces a business robbery charge.
They appeared before the Lebowakgomo Magistrate’s Court on Tuesday, 4 March 2025, and are scheduled to reappear on 10 March 2025 for a formal bail application.
The SAPS Limpopo Provincial Commissioner, Lieutenant General Thembi Hadebe commended the swift response of the police and the invaluable assistance from community members in providing crucial information that led to the arrests.
