Man shot dead during house invasion at Manghena Village

A man was fatally shot in the chest during a home invasion by four unidentified suspects in the early hours of Tuesday at Manghena village in Saselamani, Limpopo.

Intruders are said to have forcefully entered the residence while the victim and his wife were asleep, demanding cash.

After being given a small sum, they insisted on more, seeing that the couple owned a spaza shop.

When no additional money was given, one of the intruders shot the husband, who succumbed to his injuries at the scene.  The suspects fled the scene on foot.

A case of House robbery and Murder was registered for further investigation. Emergency Medical Services personnel were summoned to the scene and he was certified dead.
