All corrupt ANC officials must be ‘removed’ – Stan Mathabatha
Corrupt people leading the ANC must be removed as they don’t represent the party’s policies. Those are the words of African National Congress Chairperson in Limpopo Stan Mathabatha during their Provincial Executive Committee Lekgotla on Sunday.
Mathabatha’s utterances come when he addresses the problems faced by communities due to lack of service delivery.

He highlighted that they cannot tolerate the party officials who claim to represent the party while they fail to deliver what they were deployed to do.
“We must remain only with those cadres of the African National Congress who espouses the culture and traditions of the party,” said Mathabatha.
“Those who know why the ANC was formed and hence delivery of quality services remain parable. Service delivery must remain the priority for us in everything that we do. We must know that we need to deliver quality services to our people. That is why we are saying the ANC cannot be corrupt, only people leading or members of the ANC can be corrupt. In its own nature, it was formed because we want good things for our people.”

STAN MATHABATHA WARNS AGAINST CORRUPT PEOPLE WITHIN THE ANC
He further warned the officials within the departments and municipalities who take long before they can pay service providers even after the work is done properly. Mathabatha said service providers cannot suffer because somebody is looking for a share from their money.
“Contractors must be paid within 30 days of their work. That is an Executive Council’s resolution and it must not be violated. What we are saying to our deployees in government is that in most instances these delays are not done by politicians but by officials. We are saying to the politicians; make sure that your officials are paying contractors on time.
“Most of our contractors are SMMEs and they are cash flow dependent in their nature. If you are not paying those contractors it means you are saying they must collapse. The provincial Secretary of the party is already breathing on the necks of those deployed in government to make sure that this is implemented,” concluded Mathabatha.
