PSL to expel Royal AM – report
According to a report by SABC Sport, the Premier Soccer League [PSL] hierarchy is now exploring possibilities to expel Royal AM.
The league is allowed to impose sanctions that lead to suspension and relegation under extreme circumstances. The PSL Executive Committee has been locked in meetings discussing the matter.
According to the publication, the league can enforce rule 57.13, which would mean the KwaZulu Natal side is expelled.

The PSL has been trying to deal with the Royal AM saga for a while now. This comes as the club is now under a curator appointed by the South African Revenue Services [SARS]. In recent times, the club have seen their matches postponed. The last time they played a match was in December 2024 against TS Galaxy.
REPORTS OF THE PREMIER SOCCER LEAGUE WANTING TO EXPEL ROYAL AM SURFACE
Last week, the club failed in their attempt to force the PSL and SARS to allow them to return to play.
The club is now rooted to the foot of the table with just 11 games played. They have one win, five draws and five defeats leaving them with eight points. Royal AM are set to play Milford FC in the Nedbank Cup round of 32.
