Fisherman killed by crocodiles in Mogalakwena River
The lifeless body of a fisherman was discovered with some parts missing [no hands and stomach] after a suspected crocodile attack at Mogalakwena River, Limpopo on Friday.
Provincial Search and Rescue Team was summoned to the scene and the body was retrieved from the river.
On arrival at the scene, members of the community of Arrie Village pointed to the lifeless body of an African male person who was still in the river.

Preliminary investigation revealed that the deceased was identified as Phuthi Oscar Serumula, who resides at Arrie Village in Maleboho. He was last seen fishing in the same spot.

He was certified dead by members of emergency medical personnel services (EMS). A case of Inquest was registered for further investigation.
Residents are sternly warned to avoid swimming, fishing or crossing in rivers infested with crocodiles, as it’s a risk and to curb more people dying.
