Baroka FC part ways with Joel Masutha
Lebowakgomo-based club Baroka FC have confirmed that they have parted ways with Coach Joel Masutha with immediate effect. Masutha has been at the helm at the Limpopo club since November 2024.
The 52-year-old was seemingly doing well at the club and his resignation came as a surprise.

The Motsepe Foundation Championship side stated on Wednesday why Masutha has exited the club.

“Baroka FC can confirm the resignation of Head Coach Joel Masutha after being in the job for just over two months,” the club said.
“Coach Masutha, who was appointed as the Club’s Head Coach on the 9th of November 2024, has decided to leave the club, effective immediately.
“Baroka would like to thank Mr. Masutha for his commitment and contribution to the club and wish him all the best in his future endeavours,” the 2018 Telkom Cup champions said.
“The club will not comment any further on this issue. We will begin to search for a suitable replacement to guide and lead us for the rest of the season.”
Masutha leaves Baroka in position six on the log with 13 matches to play for in the Motsepe Foundation Championship.
