Lack of resources leads to woman giving birth on the streets
A woman allegedly gave birth outside the Roossenekal Clinic in the Sekhukhune District, Limpopo due to the availability of an ambulance and emergency services personnel on Saturday night.
The woman was reportedly rushed to the clinic to seek the assistance of an ambulance to take her to the hospital.

Ambulances are stationed there at the Roossenekal Clinic which is not a 24-hour facility and is closed at night.
There was also alleged delayed response of emergency services personnel who were not on-site at the time of her arrival.

According to the information, the woman’s family urgently needed assistance. They hired a vehicle to reach the EMS at the clinic premises. Unfortunately, they could not find any upon arrival. When the EMS personnel finally arrived, they found the woman had already delivered.
The Limpopo Department of Health has launched a full enquiry into the incident.
