Speaking on the sideline of the congress at Jack Botes Hall, outgoing chairperson Tonny Rachoene says they leave behind a healthy, vibrant and united organisation. Rachoene also reflected on his tenure as provincial chairperson.
“We came up with programmes that grab the attention of young people,” said Rachoene.

“We also made sure that as leaders of young people, we fight for them and continue championing their interests. The issue of unemployment was our priority and we managed to make sure that we are at the forefront of championing those issues.
“During our tenure, we managed to push young people to occupy strategic positions. Whether it is government or in Municipalities,” added Rachoene.
“We also helped mobilize support in the most neglected areas with our Mahosi Friday programme. That programme worked for the province. During our tenure, we paid courtesy visits to over 40 traditional leaders in our province. You can see the work that we have done as the collective that is going out.”
