PULENG MAREMA HAS REACHED A 300 APPEARANCE MILESTONE FOR POLOKWANE CITY
Marema says he is hoping his milestone will inspire other young players in the team to reach greater heights. The Zebediela-born player also thanked the Chairman of the club Johnny Mogaladi for the opportunity.
“It has been a great journey. I have had a great career. So for me to be for so many years to achieve such a milestone, I can only be proud of myself,” said Marema.
“To the coaches I worked with for them to be part of my journey. The Chairman [Johnny Mogaladi] and everyone at the club. I am just happy and I hope our youngsters can take a thing or two from me.
“Hopefully I won’t be the first and last one and there will be someone else who will reach the milestone,” he said.

Meanwhile, head coach at the club, Phuti Mohafe has hailed Marema’s loyalty saying it has finally paid off.
“That is an inspiration in itself because it pushes these other lads to that milestone,” said Mohafe.
“He has been here for so long and that loyalty by him today paid off with these 300 games. So I think even the leadership in him is also the one that is pushing him. I think he still wants to learn more even though he is old enough,” added Mohafe.
