Phuti Mohafe aims to rotate squad in Nedbank clash against Bees
Polokwane City coach Phuti Mohafe is set to rotate his squad as he looks to maintain his unbeaten run when they take on third-division side The Bees FC in the Nedbank Cup at the Old Peter Mokaba Stadium on Sunday afternoon.
Having climbed to third place on the Betway Premiership table and extended their unbeaten streak to six matches, “Rise and Shine” are looking to capitalize on their current form.

Although the Bees have proven to be a solid side in their league, Mohafe is eager to give his players a chance to prove themselves in this competition.
“We just need to rotate the team and give the other guys the chance. We’ll see what transpires after this,” he said.
“Those who are coming in will also want to show the coaches that they deserve to play week in and out.”

Despite his plans to rotate, Mohafe is well aware that matches in the Nedbank Cup are never easy, and is expecting a tough encounter against the ABC Motsepe side.
“It’s gonna be a tough match. It’s a lot of running, a lot of physicality in it playing with an ABC Motsepe Team. They will be coming at us and they will be pressing us so we just need to be smart enough and play intelligently in the match.”
“The ABC Motsepe teams especially from Mpumalanga they close the doors, I once coached there I know how they strategize. What they care about is not conceding so we are the same team and I think we’ve bridged the toughest defense in our division so going to them I won’t divulge the plans for us to go at them but I think we will find the way to get through their strong defense.” he added.
On the other hand, the Bees will enter this clash with their morale dampened, following a tough 2-1 defeat to Middleburg United FC in the SAFA Mpumalanga ABC Motsepe League.
