VHEMBE AGRICULTURAL MULTIPLIER PROJECT OFFICIALLY LAUNCHED IN THE VHEMBE DISTRICT
The VAM Project is projected to create over 2,000 jobs, stimulate the growth of small agricultural and medium enterprises (SMEs), and contribute to the broader economic upliftment of communities in the area.
MEC Kekana says while the government has acquired 2.5 million hectares of land, few of this land is under-utilized and those who are utilizing it do not have sufficient capital to make sure that they make an impact out of it.
The initiative is aligned with the government’s District Development Model (DDM) and provincial economic strategies, emphasizing collaboration among stakeholders to achieve sustainable development goals.
