Limpopo man killed for refusing to share RAF payout
A 59-year-old man was strangled to death by five suspects, two males and three females, for refusing to share money he had just received from a Road Accident Fund [RAF] payout in Sebayeng, Limpopo.
It is reported that in July 2024, the victim was at his residence when he was attacked by the five. The suspects allegedly demanded a payout in lump sum cash the victim had just received following a motor vehicle accident.

The deceased seemingly failed to comply. He was strangled by the suspects who fled the scene on foot afterward.
A murder case was opened and police commenced with the investigations. It subsequently led to the apprehension of four suspects in December 2024.
The four suspects consisting of one male Wilson Mashao Malatji [24], Tebatso Mahakwana [23], and Flora Mabitsela [39] together with the mother of a 22-year-old suspect, Kate Maboa [41] have appeared before the Mankweng Magistrate court on Friday 17 January 2025. They are facing a charge of murder.

MAN OF THE RUN AFTER A ROAD ACCIDENT FUND PAYOUT MURDER IN SEBAYENG
A 22-year-old male, Tebogo Maboa popularly known as “Lepai” managed to evade an arrest and has since been on the run.
It is suspected that Tebogo fled to Gauteng province and might have been hiding in Alexandra, Edenvale, or Olievenhoutbosch. A manhunt of Tebogo “Lepai” Maboa is ongoing. The four suspects were remanded in police custody. Their matter was postponed until Tuesday, 28 January 2025 for formal bail application.
