Limpopo traffic officer strangled to death
A senior traffic officer in Limpopo, Mbulaheni Patrick Netshidzivhani, who was reported missing, was found strangled to death at the Khunguni Mountain in Mutale, Vhembe where he conducts his routine fitness exercises.
Netshidzivhani was initially reported missing after he left his home at Ha-Makhuvha village on Sunday. He reportedly went to conduct his routine fitness exercises and later failed to return home.

The matter was immediately reported to the police and a missing person inquiry was registered. The police commenced with investigation in earnest which led to the recovery of the Traffic Police officer’s vehicle and the subsequent arrest of four suspects, three men and a woman from within the locality.
Following the arrest of the suspects, the police went further to recover the lifeless body of the Traffic Police in the mountain. While a post-mortem is yet to be conducted, preliminary reports indicate the deceased Traffic Police officer was strangled to death.

Provincial Commissioner, Lieutenant General Thembi Hadebe has reassured the community that police will work hard and will never rest until they get to the bottom of the brutal killing.
She further hailed the hard work of the team of investigators under Thohoyandou Station Commander, Brigadier Simon Mukwevho who worked tirelessly to ensure that those responsible were arrested.
“The work done by police is a reminder to show case that we continue to live up to our commitment. We extend our heartfelt condolences to the bereaved family, friends and colleagues of Senior Provincial Inspector Netshidzivhani,” said Lieutenant General Hadebe.
The four suspects will appear before Mutale Magistrate’s Court soon facing murder charges.
