Limpopo man appears in court for illegal possession of pangolin
Katlego Fatsuma appeared in the Kgapane Magistrate Court, Limpopo on Tuesday for a charge of illegal possession of pangolin [Endangered Species].
The 25-year-old was arrested on Monday during an operation conducted by the Musina and Polokwane-based Hawks, Serious Organised Crime Investigation Units.

It is alleged that the Hawks obtained intelligence about a person who wanted to sell a pangolin at Garasodi village in Bolobedu.

The accused was traced and arrested. He appeared in court, and his matter was postponed to 14 January 2025 for profiling purposes. The suspect remained in custody.
The Acting Provincial Head of the Hawks in Limpopo Province, Brigadier Sicro Schambriel applauded the team for their swift response.
