Limpopo Man kills girlfriend, buries her in a shallow grave
A 27-year-old man has been arrested for killing his girlfriend and burying her body in a shallow grave in the nearest bushes at Ga-Sekgopo, Limpopo.
The man was arrested at Marotholong section, Mopani District, on Wednesday at about 18:00. He will appear before the Bolobedu Magistrate’s court on Friday 02 August 2024.

According to the reports, the victim’s family reported her missing to the police on Wednesday, 31 July 2024. This is after realising she hadn’t been seen since Sunday, 20 July 2024.
The task team was established, and they conducted their investigations. The investigation led to the suspect’s residence. Upon arrival, the team noticed a blood stain on the ground and clothes that matched the one the victim was last seen wearing.

The suspect was taken in for questioning, as he was the last person seen with the victim. He confirmed that he stabbed the victim to death with a knife and buried her in a shallow grave in the nearest bushes.
Police opened a murder case for further investigations. The motive for the killing is unknown at these stage police investigations will determine that.
Commissioner of Police in Limpopo, Lieutenant General Thembi Hadebe has condemned the incident in the strongest possible terms. She called upon partners to seek professional help when experiencing domestic challenges.
The Woman has been identified as Mootane Angel Morongwa residing in the Malatji section. She was last seen going to attend a soul session in that area but she never returned home.
